Buy your running shoes
The use of proper shoes for different types of running is vital. There are three different types of footwear to be worn. To easy days and long runs, daily trainers work fine. For tempo runs, workouts and races over 10k weight trainers are the best option. For track workouts and races shorter than 10k racing flats work great.
Official trainers are shoes that you run the most mileage in. Make sure your daily trainers feel comfortable. I believe that the right of all shoes should be comfortable out of the box. The coaches that I have a daily so great that I'm not afraid of running a 20 Miler the first time used. The shoes must be stopped are probably not the type of shoes for your feet. Find out what kind standing that you have and only buy shoes that fall into this category.
Lightweight trainers are big shoes to train faster. For tempo runs and workouts weight trainers are the ticket. Lightweight trainers have adequate support and cushioning to protect your feet and are sufficiently lightweight for faster running. Be careful when buying light weight trainers. Make sure you buy the right kind for your type of feet.
Another great thing about light weight trainers is that they are light enough and stable enough for longer races. I personally use half the trainers and the full marathons. My own experience has been that ever my feet hurt after the marathon and half, finishing a full marathon everything hurts. I still recommend using trainers Lightweight for these race distances.
Racing flats are very light weight, usually less than 9 0z. Be careful with racing flats, finding the correct form is very important. Not always would buy the lightest you can find. I prefer racing flats with some support and cushioning. A few ounces of cushion and support are always better to become injury just to save 10 or 15 seconds in a 5K.
I personally do not recommend using racing flats in races over 10k. Racing flats I used a pair of socks in marathons and my feet were sore for days afterwards. Since I have used weight trainers exclusively my feet hurt never later.
The most popular time to wear racing flats is during track workouts. The feeling of slight wear shoes during practice pace fast is what makes racing so popular story. Personally, I like to use for every race track my training flats. There are others who are racing flats only for a career. Choose the time that works best for you.
There are plenty of arguments around a person's body weight and the selection of shoes. I am 6'1 and weigh 180 pounds, to be a great runner who still coaches and lightweight racing flats. I would recommend that each person decide for themselves themselves whether to use the shoes lighter.
